FilmHaus is the ultimate platform for indie filmmakers to showcase their unique and experimental films, gain fast-tracked recognition, and boost their IMDb star/movie-meter ranking. Here are compelling reasons why every independent creator and storyteller should compete in this prestigious event: 1. Recognition by IMDb: FilmHaus is an IMDb-qualified festival, a prestigious recognition that only a few film festivals worldwide have achieved. This accreditation means that the awards and recognition received at FilmHaus will boost your IMDb star/movie-meter ranking, enhancing your film's profile and your professional credibility. 2. Comprehensive Virtual FilmFest: FilmHaus offers filmmakers a comprehensive virtual FilmFest experience once a year, including esteemed awards, professional reviews, and high-value promotional coverage for social media and press articles. FilmHaus has transitioned to a triannual virtual festival, minimizing the waiting period for filmmakers and providing quick recognition essential for locking distribution deals with streamers. 3. Advocate for Independent Cinema: FilmHaus is committed to promoting unknown talent and operates as a pivotal platform for experimental and underground genres, which are often repellent to mainstream audiences. Inspired by a German circus, FilmHaus serves as a trunk for forgotten and lost films, providing a platform for eccentric and unique cinematic treasures that deserve attention and appreciation. 4. Selective and Prestigious: FilmHaus is recognized for its selectiveness and prestige in the indie film circuit. With 40 separate award categories per competition round, the festival goes the extra mile to credit every aspect of a project's production, demonstrating its dedication to recognizing and awarding the hard work of indie filmmakers. |
WHY COMPETE?5. Promotional Support: FilmHaus acts as the first stop, promotional sidekick, and energy booster of all film festivals. It provides bespoke promotional assets to help promote your movie's participation and recognition at FilmHaus on social media. This promotional support is essential for indie creators and storytellers who often face challenges in promoting their work. 6. One-Fee for Multiple Award Categories: Every submission category grants access to multiple award categories, maximizing opportunities for success. FilmHaus is one of the very few online film festivals that offers this advantage, demonstrating its commitment to supporting indie filmmakers. 7. Global Audience: FilmHaus attracts independent creators and storytellers of all ages from around the world. Competing in this festival means your work will be seen and appreciated by a global audience, opening up opportunities for international recognition and collaborations. 8. Commitment to Communication: FilmHaus prides itself on its ability to listen and respond to its participants, making communication a cornerstone of its operations. This commitment reflects the festival's respect for filmmakers and its dedication to supporting them throughout the competition process.
